About Me

Welcome to my LA survival blog. I am a 25-plus-year resident of Los Angeles, a survivor who built a life here after escaping a toxic upbringing in Japan. No matter how high the inflation climbs, being in America gives me a sense of freedom and peace that I could never find back home. To me, it is far better to live in a country where my spirit is stable and free, even when money is tight, than to be anywhere else.

My journey has been marked by severe physical challenges, personal trauma, and life-altering accidents, but these experiences have only made me more resilient. Today, I use my decades of local insight to navigate the 'LA Tax.' From $4 gas strategies to grocery store hacks, I provide raw, fact-based insights on surviving in one of the world's most expensive cities. I am currently on a mission to rebuild my digital presence and prove that it’s never too late to reclaim your life. This is the grit and strategy of an LA lifer who chose freedom over everything.
